It starts with a place to live
I have had the pleasure of working with great people to bring attainable housing to Nashville and was reminded of this podcast from April 2020, recorded in February 2020, pre pandemic.
Evan and I took the time to talk about our first project that happened when he was with LDG Development, LLC - the Buffalo Trail Apartments. Families began living there this year.
Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency opens the application for project based vouchers for the 808 @ Skyline Ridge on 11/18/21 - another project from LDG that was championed by Joshua Haston
I am proud that 34% of all new housing under development or approved in District 8 the last 6 years is available, or soon will be, to folks at the 30-80% AMI and all of them are placed in mixed-income settings throughout Maplewood and Madison.
Some to rent, some to buy, thanks to the The Housing Fund.
Some new homes are now underway with Holladay Ventures to be designated as artist housing to ensure our creative class has a way to live and thrive in beautiful new places built with them in mind.
More coming on a trail oriented development from The Clear Blue Company has recently been approved.
New neighborhoods are coming- there is much work to do and collaborations make it possible.
