Getting The Color Right
As a visual artist I find myself sensitive to color and it’s placement. I stumbled on this Color Symbolism Chart recently and I found it interesting. As we look around our environment, what color surrounds us?
What color of room do you work in?
Can you change the color to help create a calm and creative environment? Or maybe you need more energy to accomplish all the tasks and keep the plates spinning?
My home office space is painted red. It keeps me moving. But I also have a window that allows natural light and perspective. My art studio walls are white so that all the color that goes on them can find it’s own space. Our kitchen is purple, a lavender that compliments the green plants and view of our garden.
If you are still living in a white space – stop. Your next project is to paint even a single wall in your space that will help you more than you realize to start living an artful life.
