About Nancy VanReece

Nancy VanReece’s mission to advocate creative opportunities for communities to achieve their  potential  has been the driving force behind her success  throughout her career.

She speaks on issues regarding online marketing, social media communications, branding, copyright administration and clearance. Her blog, Contemporary Expression, has been actively discussing Living An Artful Life since 2005.

Through her company Carpe Diem Management, she is currently serving as the Sr. Director of Social Media Strategy & Development for Cool People Care, Inc. , she recently completed three seasons as the Executive Director/CEO of The Nashville Shakespeare Festival, a year round educational and professional performance nonprofit company.  Her success in the corporate sector included a successful eight and half year career in entertainment, corporate and healthcare licensing for the world’s largest performing rights agency, Broadcast Music Inc (BMI). She was the president of an independent advertising agency for eight years as well as a successful personal manager for recording artists and record producers for nine years.

Ms VanReece has also successfully lobbied public officials for support on the federal, state and local levels on matters regarding civil rights, civil liberties, and arts funding.  VanReece has won awards of excellence in print magazine advertising and was nominated as Cashbox Magazine’s Promoter of the Year (1989). Ms. VanReece moved to Nashville in 1986 after college at Baylor University where she studied radio/TV and communications.
